Backup / Secondary characters Bad Solitz SRD

Backup character. Your character may die, or you might get bored with them. I'd recommend creating a second backup character (or two) just in case, or at least start thinking about what you'd like to use for a backup character.

1. Keep them one level below the lowest level character in the party
2. When they join, they'll join at the lowest level.
3. By keeping them one below, it's easier and more flexible to bring them in.
4. E.g. party of 4th, 6th, 4th, 5th characters -> keep the backup at level 3, then they'll auto-level to 4 if they join.

Stable of characters

You can use multiple characters, swapping the active one out during a downtime turn.

Once played, the characters must level on their own.
